My name is Matthew S. Cwihun. I was born and have lived the majority of my life in Canada. However, between 2013 and 2015 I lived in Australia to further my education and research in public policy and administration.

My current research is a comparative policy analysis between the governments of Canada and Australia. In particular I am analyzing the Australian and Canadian government response to Islamist terrorism. My research is interested in the shift from national policies to global governance, and the effects of 'globalization' on the nation-state in the context of the restrictions national governments encounter responding to the Islamist totalitarian political ideological threat in a global framework. The framework of my analysis is based upon 'the clash of civilizations' premise. As a result of my research I have become well versed in the academic-fringe genre of 'civilizational analysis'. This means that in addition to studying current events and analyzing how governments respond to such events, I also read extensively on various topics within world history, particular those that support the worldview of 'civilizations' as a basis of global order.

Following two years of study in General Arts and Science, I earned a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Public Administration and in 2015 I completed a Master Degree in Public Administration (M.P.A.). Throughout the years, aside from various personal responsibilities, I have managed to sustain a steady diet of literature. Many of these literary items are listed within the 'references' section of WesternCrisis.com. My list of personal readings includes: the dialogues of Plato, Aristotle's Organon (Logic), Cicero's orations, St. Augustine's City of God and Confessions, historical writings from Christopher Dawson and Joseph Campbell, and even writings from Boethius, Paine, Tocqueville, and many more. The significance of sharing this list is to acknowledge the influence these books have had on my cognitive development, and therefore my worldview in defending the value of Western Civilization.

My intent with WesternCrisis.com has been to analyze human sociopolitical events through the lens of the 'clash of civilizations' framework. My objective is to share a form of critical analysis which I perceive as lacking in modern debates on public policy. Experience and education have taught me that modern (Western) scholarly analysis is only critical in so far that it does not 'offend' any particular 'marginalized' group within Western 'multicultural' societies. Hence my frustration with 'political correctness'. At WesternCrisis.com the world will be presented for what it is: the stage upon which the evolving clash against Western Civilization is being played.
